Why did I choose my major? 馃Ц馃ゼ
Since I was a child, I always wanted to do many things, but being a surgeon was the idea that stayed the longest because of the TV show: “Grey’s anatomy”. I was always asking my mother who is a nurse to bring me hats, gloves and gowns to play operating on my stuffed animals. I also asked for a giant anatomy book for my birthday that I never read.
After leaving that obsession, I discovered that I liked art and dance, but when I left school, I only thought about studying dance because it was the most obvious and comfortable option just because I dance since I was little. I studied in the academy for two years until I realized that I didn´t want to dance my whole life and decided to leave in the middle of the second year. After that I decided to study psychology but along the way I discovered design and I felt that it is the career that would allow me to develop in art. When I entered it was quite different from my first university experience because the coronavirus appeared, and we had to remain locked in ours houses and I could never attend classes in person.
It has been a career with ups and downs around this world situation. I have learned new ways of design from a more social, historical and ergonomics perspective. I have also been able to learn techniques to create and handle computational tools which at first, I didn´t like very much.
This experience has been very special, and I have not gotten to know very well to my classmates, but above all I have been able to study many things that I didn´t know.
